At Wolfstar, we have decided to celebrate the fact 2008 is a leap year and has an extra day (Friday February 29th) by offering up our services to the local community. Yep, that’s right the team here have all agreed to help a local community group on the day in question.
We are willing to help you with anything we can - we are happy to get our hands dirty with whatever needs doing whether it’s litter picking or painting a local community centre.
We are also looking for any other companies from Leeds or Yorkshire who are willing to help - just for one day - by getting in contact with us too.
Community groups that can provide us with work should call Beth Kay on 0113 394 7960 or email bethk@wolfstarconsultancy.com, by 5pm on Wednesday February 27.
We will reveal the winning project on the blog on Thursday 28th February.

Good on you. Having spent much of the last three years doing full time voluntary work - I suggest that whoever you end up volunteering for you don’t waste your time with anything you’re not an expert at.
Leave the litter picking or painting - there are plenty of people who can do that - why not help them with their publicity? There are so many local charities, community groups etc that need either members or funds or both. I am sure you have the skills required to help them.
Even - better - teach them a little bit about marketing so that when your time is up they can carry on benefitting from the lessons they have learned.
Hi Steve, Thanks for your comments they are noted - I know you are well-versed in this area having worked as a VSO out in Hanoi.
We might well take your advice and provide some marketing services on-site if that’s what will help a local group the most. Stuart knows lots of community groups and does a fair bit of voluntary work already - so I am sure he will have a say in what we all get involved in.
I will let you know where we are going - when we do.
Cheers, Chris
