Amy Johnston is an account manager at Wolfstar.

Amy has four years experience in the public relations industry, having worked both in-house and in a number of consultancies.

Her experience and expertise spans consumer communications for many industry sectors, including retail, fashion, food, travel, charity, property and business-to-business.

Amy graduated with a BA (Hons) in Public Relations from Leeds Metropolitan University and started her career working for Citypress PR, a consumer agency based in Manchester, where she completed a 14-month industrial placement. There she worked as an account executive on accounts including Stena Line, Co-op Travel, the Forestry Commission and McArthurGlen Designer Outlets.

After graduating, she worked for Waterside Communications in Leeds. There she worked on a number of property clients including McInerney Homes and Gregory Property, as well as a number of travel clients such as Woldchoice and DERTOUR. In addition she helped organise the Location Leeds events at the annual property conference, MIPIM , held in Cannes.

After Waterside, Amy was recruited by Morrisons supermarkets where she worked as stores press officer, handling all PR for more than 150 stores in the South of England. She was also responsible for publicising the Charity of the Year partnership with Asthma UK. This included launching a national campaign to find a ‘Kick Asthma Hero’, and creating a celebrity recipe book, which went on sale in all Morrisons stores to raise money for the charity.

After almost a year in this role, she transferred to the consumer team, where she was responsible for all PR for Morrisons food and drink products. This involved extensive media relations with national and consumer press – ranging from product drops at the magazine houses to organising huge media events such as the Christmas press show.
