Chris Norton is an award wining account director at Wolfstar and also acts as the social media coordinator for the CIPR.

He joined Wolfstar because he had a massive interest in social media and social networking. Check out his blog Norton’s Notes, which is listed in the UK’s top 15 PR Blogs.

Chris has more than eight years’ experience in the public relations industry having worked both in-house and in a number of high profile consultancies. His experience and expertise spans corporate communications for many industry sectors, including IT, healthcare, education, business-to-business, FMCG, retail, charities and public sector.

Chris graduated in 2000 with a BA (Hons) in Public Relations at Leeds Metropolitan University and started his career working for Harvard Public Relations, an international technology agency, based in London, where he gained a wealth of corporate communications experience.

The following year he was head hunted by Harvard Health. During his time with this agency he obtained further experience working for a wide variety of high profile consumer healthcare (OTC) accounts including Johnson & Johnson, GSK, Pfizer, Merck, Meat & Livestock Commission and Beiersdorf. Chris also delivered a number of high profile campaigns including the ‘Creation of the Cold & Flu Council’ for Beechams, which won several industry awards.

In 2003 Chris joined Trimedia in Leeds. Here he was responsible for a number of teams delivering a variety of public relations programmes for a range of clients including Institute of Directors, Land Rover, Learning & Skills Council, Lloyds TSB Autolease, Camelot, Leeds Chamber of Commerce, Department of Culture, Media and Sport, Home Office and several projects for BT. Chris also spent three months seconded to Learndirect Business’ marketing department to provide strategic counsel and help establish an effective in-house communications role.

In 2007, Chris and his colleagues won several industry awards for the delivery of the ‘Search for the Speaking Clock’ Campaign for BT and Children in Need.
