Stuart is the managing director and a founder of Wolfstar. He is an award-winning PR professional with almost 20 years’ experience in public relations, marketing communications and public affairs. Most of the time has been working for consultancies, but with two spells in-house - one for the Labour Party and the other as UK Head of PR for accountants Grant Thornton.

He’s almost too embarrassed to admit it but he’s listed in the PR Week PowerBook of the 500 most influential public relations people in the UK.

He has won numerous awards  including PR Week’s Best International Campaign and Best Healthcare Campaign. He’s done public relations for everyone from Alan Johnson, the Secretary of State for Health through to Sooty and Brian Blessed.

He’s also worked for lots of the big corporates, government departments, local government, charities and smaller start-ups and owner-managed businesses. Some of the names you might recognise are Royal Mail, Privilege Insurance, University of Leeds, ITnet plc, Irwin Mitchell, ICL Fujtsu, Sanderson Computers, Premier Farnell plc, East Riding of Yorkshire Council, University of Sussex, Department for Education and Employment, International Milton Keynes, Skills for Justice, Ministry of Defence, British Library, British Computer Society and the Forestry Commission - to name but a few!

One of his claims to fame is that he’s a prominent social media consultant and frequently speaks at conferences and workshops on everything from integrating social media into corporate communications plans to online crisis management. Check out the blog at www.stuartbruce.biz.

His expertise and experience covers everything from social media, online PR, media relations, international PR, community relations and consultation, crisis and issues management, technology PR, design and print, events and public affairs.

Outside of work Stuart is passionate about politics (a lifelong Labour Party member he served seven years as a local councillor), a keen cook, a proud dad, a fan of the latest electronic gadgets and constantly thinking he should do more exercise, but never getting round to it.

And finally something that might surprise you about Stuart is that he was a national junior working hunter pony competitor - that means he qualified for the national finals, but didn’t win.
