Account Manager

Wolfstar, the multi award-winning PR, social media and creative agency, is seeking to hire an experienced Senior Account Executive or Account Manager looking for a new challenge within an innovative and exciting environment which offers flexible working, gym membership and reward scheme.

Working with a roster of clients including home, lifestyle, education and IT brands, the right individual will be driven, passionate and creative and want to make a difference within the business. You will be apt at media relations delivery across both consumer and business sectors, have a good solid understanding and proven experience in social media management. Reaching digital influencers will come naturally to you and you’ll be keen to develop your event management skills. You will also have the ability to lead a team.

Ideally, you will have been working at a similar level within a PR agency environment or in-house role.

Overall description

As a core member of the Wolfstar PR team, the Account Manager will support the Account Director across a portfolio of B2B and B2C accounts. You will be actively involved in supporting the day-to-day running of a number of key accounts ensuring a professional approach and service is maintained. You will also be required to help develop junior members of the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the needs of clients across your accounts and support the Account Director in leading client meetings.
  • Contribute to daily meetings, liaising with and updating clients on PR activities.
  • Build client relationships and maintain a network of media contacts including journalists and industry spokespeople.
  • Develop industry, sector and product focused PR campaigns.
  • Spearhead both traditional PR and social media projects.
  • Develop news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services.
  • Fulfil the client’s key performance indicators and growing accounts.
  • Be involved in pitching for new business and developing PR proposals.
  • Manage a high level of client interaction.
  • Manage and mentor junior members of staff.

Person specification and core competencies

  • Degree in PR or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge of public relations strategies and protocols.
  • Extensive knowledge of delivering a number of tactical campaigns across platforms.
  • Familiar with PR tools, including databases and analysis tools.
  • Proven track record of delivering and reporting on measurable successes for clients.
  • Exceptional client handling and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Understanding of key social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram, for example.)
  • Energy, enthusiasm and drive.

Account Executive

Wolfstar, the multi award-winning PR, social media and creative agency, is seeking an enthusiastic, driven and creative PR Account Executive to join its Leeds-based office.

The right individual will have outstanding writing capabilities, have a passion for and experience using social media, be a proactive self-starter, be diligent and organised, and be able to forge long-standing relationships with clients and colleagues.

Overall description

As a core member of the Wolfstar PR team, the Account Executive will work alongside and support the Senior Account Managers and Directors to effectively manage day-to-day relationships with clients and provide a highly responsive, quality service. They will be actively involved in liaising with clients and attending client planning and review meetings as necessary to deliver a proactive and responsive service. They will also be required to work alongside other members of the account management team, supporting them in managing PR campaigns and individual jobs from client brief through to completion and delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the day to day administration of client accounts including update meetings, progress updates and regular contact for the progression of PR projects.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients and respond to all request quickly and efficiently.
  • Research and write press releases, opinion pieces, feature articles and ensure that all communications are considered within relevant social media sites.
  • Track published articles, releases and produce analysis reports.
  • Research upcoming features and identify relevant editorial opportunities for clients.
  • Build relationships with key journalists, being the first contact for PR opportunities.
  • Arrange press interview at events and exhibitions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.

  • Proven PR experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Understanding of key social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Google+ and Instagram, for example.)
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Energy, enthusiasm and drive.
