BBC Chuggington: UK’s first mummy blogger meet-up

Wolfstar created the UK’s first mummy blogger meet-up to generate interest and encourage viewing of a new children’s TV show Chuggington.


At a glance

The BBC and TV production company Ludorum asked Wolfstar to outreach and engage with online influencers to generate interest and encourage viewing of a new children’s TV show, Chuggington. In order to create buzz around the new show, Wolfstar created the UK’s first mummy blogger meet-up, achieving the following results:

  • Number one program on iPlayer
  • 80% of target bloggers attended
  • Previews watched 215,000 times on YouTube
  • Chuggington sold into 140 markets

Narrative

The event was held at the Movieum in London where representatives answered questions and introduced exclusive episodes. Bloggers were encouraged to bring their children so reactions to the show could be judged first hand.

Majority of bloggers attended the event and as a result the executive interview was watched more than 14,00 times.

Chuggington became the most watched show on iPlayer before being sold into more than 140 markets worldwide.
